Modiac MP3 to AVI Audio Converter is a free media converter. The application can convert your MP4 files into AVI files. These files can be encoded using different audio codecs, including AAC, MP3, PCM s16-bit LE, ATSC, and MP2. I can't think of a single reason why you would want to convert an MP3 file into an AVI file. After all, the converted file won't display any video. And I am pretty sure there are more devices that support the MP3 format than those that support AVI.
Like all the Modiac converters that I have tried, the graphical user interface is original and very well made. The first window that will appear acts as a drop-zone, where you can drag files to add them to the conversion queue. You can add as many files as you want. When you add a file, the screen will change and you will be able to change a few conversion options by clicking on the "Advanced" button. Here, even though there won't be video, you can change video codec and quality settings, and of course, the audio codecs you want to use.
In my testing, I converted an MP3 file into AVI using the MP3 codec. The file played great on VLC.
